Like a raging inferno, Rhode Island rocker Ed Fishell ignites the stage . With his smoky vocals and blazing hot guitar licks, Fishell`s spirit shines through his music. Tuned at a young age to the greats Jimmy Page , Ritchie Blackmore and Neil Young, Ed feels he was born to rock. He got his first guitar at the age of sixteen, but recalls ripping air guitar solos on a broomstick to "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" as a young boy. He went to play with local heavies Blue Earth, Jungle Dogs, Shiver and Orange Whip - Cutting his teeth at clubs like CBGB`s , Ocean Mist, Lupo`s and The Elbow Room. Now a seasoned musician, Fishell looks to put his own ideas and reflections down with his first set of solo recordings. The tunes range from guitar heavy numbers like "Dusted" and "I Can`t Feel You" to the more vocally- driven catchy anthems like "Me and You" and "Chokechain". The songs also feature an array of guest musicians playing anything from lapsteel guitar, to horns, mandolin; there is even a cello solo in there for good measure. The result is an eclectic mix of energetic songs that spark the soul and move with the beat.
